1 When are Hobs branches open?
Usual opening hours for most of our branches are 08.30 – 18.00, but please check with your local branch as times may vary.
2 What's the largest size Hobs can print in colour?
60 inches / 1.5 m is the maximum single print width by any length. However when "tiled" any size can be achieved.
3 What's the largest size Hobs can print in B/W?
36 inches is the maximum width by any length
4 Can Hobs enlarge sections from larger plans?
We offer a rescaling, enlargement and reduction service for both the whole image and individual sections.
5 What Software can Hobs support and what is the preferred type of file for printing.
Hobs use most industry standard software for PC/MAC platforms for example MS Office, AutoCAD, Quark, Illustrator, Photoshop and many more. Please check with your local branch for further details. The preferred type of file is .PLT, .PDF but other files type can be accepted.
6 Can Hobs reverse B/W copy at A2, A1 and A0 sizes?
Hobs can reverse and "mirror" B/W copies for all sizes
7 What kinds of binding do Hobs offer?
We offer plastic spiral, wire spiral and thermal binding while you wait
8 Can Hobs copy on to Transtex?
Yes. Black and white A4 while you wait
9 Can Hobs Print on to paper supplied by the student?
Not all paper types are compatible with our machines; we do however stock a large portfolio of media types so check with your local branch for paper compatibility.
10 Can Hobs print double-sided?
We can print double-sided in black and white and colour.
11 What's the heaviest paper you can print on?
280gram is the heaviest, but we also stock a large portfolio of media types
12 What's the best way to submit my files to you?
CD, Floppy disk, zip disk, USB stick, email, memory cards.
