With over 50 years success we are market leaders in the industry and are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to identify and develop new business leads and to maintain an already substantial client portfolio.
Based in Liverpool city centre, we are looking for the right candidate to develop and build solid Customer relationships to generate revenue and growth. You will achieve sales targets, be an effective planner and negotiator to drive the Hobs brand forward in the market place.
You will be a high achiever with solid experience of working in a face to face sales role, demonstrate proven B2B sales records, and be able to communicate with all levels of authority/seniority. You will be used to meeting or exceeding targets set.

Job Description – Area Sales Manager
Salary - £20k plus company car, and excellent benefits package
- Responsible for an extensive range of customers in three separate areas within industry’s such as construction, house builders, architects, design companies, retailers, councils. Liaison with our existing customers to offer advice on up-grades & cross sell across various disciplines.
- Conducting face to face account reviews to increase the value of your customer base.
- Concluding agreements with customers through writing/contact with print room, obtaining order numbers.
- Provide quotes for reprographic work and work on digital press and following up on all quotes sent.
- Providing regular feedback in monthly and weekly meetings on existing customers and forecasting incoming revenue from the account base.
- Hitting the monthly budget set and reporting to the Business Manager, producing daily call reports of all the day’s activities.
- Producing all calls/meetings in written format in ACT database.
- Analysing the customer spends weekly, and acting on any unusual activity, i.e. high/low spends.
- Gaining new contacts from existing accounts to generate the maximum potential from each client.
- Self - generating leads from directories, internet, publications and market intelligence, glenigans and industry magazines.
- Cold calling by phone to arrange meeting with potential customers.
- Cold calling in person to sites/local businesses.
- Organise and plan own work and diary in a cost effective manner to ensure targets are met.
- Maximising sales for the company by presenting Hobs services and products in a consultative manner so that decision makers will agree to buy print solutions.
- Development of new client relationships, with regular contact and face to face meetings.
- Being proactive and generating fresh ideas when promoting a new product.
- Learning about new products and attend any training courses required.
